As a Senior Executive in a Publicly Traded Healthcare Company

Improved the company's annual bottom line by $12 million by re-engineering global transcription business processes, increasing the use of advanced speech recognition and off-shore labor partners, and reducing annual SOX audit costs by creating sustainable and repeatable processes.

Increased executive and board level visibility into company performance by implementing a Business Intelligence Program and a Balanced Scorecard.  This allowed the company for the first time to holistically track sales prospecting through revenue recognition, operational performance, and financial performance.

Formed highly successful collaborative relationships with the business community by elevating a distressed IT culture to "Business Thought Leadership" and by implementing AGILE development methods that greatly improved service delivery time and quality.

Improved internal client satisfaction at a major Pharmaceutical by re-engineering an underperforming department.  Effort focused on improving service levels, product quality, business processes, inventory management, production scheduling, production analytics, management reporting, and re-architecting the company's policy/procedure web site. 

Led the strategic planning effort for the Pennsylvania Insurance Commission which was recognized as one of the true successes of the Governor's statewide reform initiatives.

Improved service delivery and reduced cost of GMAC-RFC Post Fund Loan Administration and Custodial business by re-architecting the end-to-end business processes.

Saved Gould Paper $1 million annually by architecting a supply chain management solution that unified 3 dissimilar order processing environments under one collaborative backbone.  

Managed design team for improving Post Fund Loan Administration and Custodial processes in two major financial institutions.

Led a complex claims processing and call center process improvement initiative for a property/casualty TPA that significantly reduced claims handling and eliminated an entire shift.

 

As a CIO

 

Transitioned a traditional health insurer into the first successful internet health insurance provider for small group insurance.

Led several process improvement/automation initiatives for the management of hierarchical agent compensation models in the broker market for 18,000+ brokers, agents, and sub-agents.

Re-engineered the information systems for a national MGU specializing in Treaty and Facultative Re-insurance.
